Before retirement I did broadcast with Winchester Hospital Radio for something
like 17 years. This site is the best I have so far visited. Many
congratulations.

Interested in reading the biogs on your team members. So, when will you be
streaming your programme live?
As a hospital radio station, HRB has no plans to
stream its output over the Internet. To do this would be very expensive
anyway in terms of the extra license requirements and would serve no real
purpose as our audience are all in hospital with access to us via their
PatientLine terminals.

I was recently a patient in the North Hants Hospital for over a month and was
totally unaware there was a hospital radio service! There were no
headphones available, no notices regarding how to get hospital radio and no
info from staff.
I would have loved to have listened to the radio to pass the long hours on the
ward.
We're sorry that you didn't know about HRB and its
programmes when you were in hospital. Until recently, the number of
radios by each bed was limited to mostly C, D and G floors as well as the
maternity building, and we were having some reception difficulties in some
areas as well as the problem we have always had of headphones getting broken
or just going missing. However, this situation has now changed and
PatientLine terminals by every bed mean that more people
than ever before can now listen to our programmes. We are working on
promoting the station better throughout the hospital as well now that
PatientLine is installed, and there are now more posters around the
building. There should also be information on the PatientLine screen itself.
Hopefully more staff
awareness will come from all this extra publicity.

Very informative, easy to get around the site, good colours selected that's easy
on the eye, very impressive and professional in its format. "No doubt some
ideas that could be borrowed for commercial radio station!" Well done.
SOME PICTURES FROM IN AND AROUND THE STATION THAT INCLUDE THE
STUDIO/PRODUCTION SUITE WOULD BE GOOD.

Hi there It was great to be with you for your celebrations and I reiterate
what I said on that Sunday. You have all worked extremely hard to get back on
your feet and it is wonderful that you have had the support of the 'lads' from
Winchester, too. I wish you continued success.

Great website guys, some more techy stuff would be good though but then I am a
confessed anorak.
Want
to join us but not present a programme? We are looking for
