2009's National Hospital Broadcasting Week was
held during the week of 28 March - 5 April 2009 and was a bit of a strange one
for HRB as the station was off the air for the majority of the week.
The week did start off well though being highly
commended in the Station of the Year category at the National Hospital Radio
Awards which were held in Blackpool
In order to solve several technical issues with
the studio, we enlisted the help of Sony Broaedcast, and thanks to their superb
efforts and donations, much of the equipment in the technical room was
upgraded. We had previously used equipment that had been removed from the
old HRB studio at the time of the move last year, but thanks to Sony, this has
now been upgraded and we now have full broadcast standard equipment controlling
our output.
We were back on the air for the Saturday evening
just in time for the grand opening of our studios on Sunday April
5th.
