It's on HRB at 5pm. Also it was hospital radio's biggest night of the year - The National Hospital Radio Awards 2008 in Leeds - Details here Sunday 30 March 2008 During The Sound of Sunday, some highlights and gossip from Saturday night's National Hospital Radio Awards which were held in Leeds and at which HRB was shortlisted in 2 categories. Monday 31 March 2008 HRB's Paul LeFeuvre and Brian Starman were at Orchard House in Alton to collect the proceeds from a collection in aid the station - over £180! Wednesday 2 April 2008 The story of HRB's award success made front page news in the Alton Gazette. Friday 4 April 8am - Sunday 6 April 8pm
The HRB 60 Hour Music on Demand Marathon was live all weekend for three days. The weekend started with a linkup with Kestrel FM Breakfast show host (and former HRB member) Mark Watson. Later in the day, Paul LeFeuvre and Rosemary Kershaw had several special guests as Paul welcomed some of the residents of Orchard House in Alton who had sponsored him for over £180, and Rosemary celebrated the Music Makers of Basingstoke. A photographer from the Basingstoke Gazette also arrived to take some photos and he was enticed on air as well! On Saturday former HRB member Neale Adams helped Dave Leonard wake the hospital up, Neil Ogden and Harry Robinso continued the entertainment and Steph Weston was joined by Faye Jones for the sport. The weather on Friday was warm Little did we know what was about to happen. With a crash of thunder at 6.30 on Sunday morning, the ground was covered in 4 inches of snow in 30 minutes! Presenters James Pollard and Sarah Beattie kept things going though. Then James disappeared outside to have some fun in the snow and build a snowman (apparently it was modelled on Sarah()) Jeanette and Amit made their way through the snow for HRB On Show at the front of the hospital to promote the station and raise some money. Marilyn and Faye took over for the afternoon shift. Anna, Jeanette and Becky took over for the penultimate show of the weekend...
And in the week after, HRB made the news again, in the Alton Gazette... In Basingstoke, HRB made it into the Basingstoke Observer on 10 April... Another front page in Alton came in the Alton Herald on 11 April...
