HRB Launches Recruitment Campaign
HRB as launched a new campaign to recruit members to the station.
All members are volunteers, but not everyone necessarily has to present on the radio. We have a dedicated team of ward visitors who spend their time visiting patients, tuning them in and promoting the service that HRB provides.
Those who do present are also expected to visit the wards as this is a very important part of what hospital radio is all about, but full training on all aspects on being an HRB member will be given.
Fundraising is also important for everyone to be involved with, as HRB is a registered charity and relies solely on the support of the public to keep its service running. Costs of around £4000 per year have to be met from fundraising and donations, and there are a number of events throughout the year that members are expected to be involved in.
