HRB has embarked on the final stage of its most ambitious project ever. Thanks to several years of hard fundraising and numerous other issues that have now been sorted, we are proud to announce the arrival of our new home at the start of August which will enable us to expand what we do and broadcast from more comfortable surroundings. Our existing building is way too small for our needs and is also looking its age. At the start of August, a new building will arrive on site. Double click on each image to see full size. The new building will be over twice the size of what we have currently. Inside will be two studios, an office, a technical area and a reception area. Work started on 26 July and the station has now gone silent to allow the old building to be removed and the new building to be delivered in its place. Below, Alan Minto removes the satellite dish from the roof of the old building. Work continues fitting out the new building, inside.... and out...! HRB is now broadcasting again and aims to return to a normal programme schedule by the end of September. 09 September 2008 22:22:35
