January 2010 HRB has done it again. The station has been nominated in two categories at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2010. HRB's programme covering the Armed Forces Flag Raising Day in Basingstoke in June 2009 was one of the short listed entries in the Special Event category. This award is for the coverage of a one-off event that does not form part of the station's regular programme schedule. The Station of the Year category requires the station to submit a mini-documentary of 15 minutes telling the story of the year with examples of station output including in particular how the station interacts and relates to its audience. This is the award we have been short listed for in 7 of the last 8 years. The awards will be announced at the National Hospital Radio Awards in Glasgow on March 27th at the start of National Hospital Broadcasting Week, a week of celebrating the work of hospital radio in the UK. We'll have more news of how HRB will be marking the week soon. You can find more information about the awards as well as all the other nominations and categories at the Hospital Broadcasting Association's website at www.hbauk.com 14 February 2010 20:04:47
