Hospital radio and TV broadcaster Dennis Rookard has sadly passed away aged 68.

Dennis was a big part of local life in Brentwood in Essex. He worked on Essex Radio and Pheonix FM as well as the local talking newspaper and Eastward Hospital TV.

It was through Hosiprog that he produced plays and features especially for hospital radio stations and these have been in use on HRB for much of the last 20 years. His plays and short stories are a regular part of the afternoon show with Harry Robinson and his Myths and Legends feature has been a regular part of The Sound of Sunday for many years.

His work will live on at hospital radio stations around the UK. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
