HRB entered a team at the annual Lions Swimarathon in March
2008. Steph Weston, Jeanette Campbell, Andy K, Sarah Beattie and Neil
Ogden swum 29 laps (1 lap = 2 x 25m lengths) in half an hour.
Overall, the Lions raised over £3000 of which over £150 was
raised by the HRB team, which was split between HRB and the Lions. A fun and successful evening all
round.
It took a month for the story to appear in the local paper The
Basingstoke Gazette!
