HRB has been highly commended at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2009.

The station was nominated for the 6th time in 7 years in the station of the year category at the awards which are organised each year by the Hospital Broadcasting Association and this year were held at the Hilton Hotel in Blackpool.

The result means the station is one of the top 5 hospital radio stations in the UK as judged by radio industry professionals.
