HRB provides programmes 24 hours a day for the patients and staff at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital. The majority of our programmes are produced in-house and our most important shows are our live request shows every evening and during the day at weekends - Music on Demand. We are also able to draw on other programme resources and we are pleased to include popular shows produced externally to the station to increase the variety of programming that we are able to offer our listeners. HRB is a voluntary organisation, so many of our shows are not presented live and are subject to change, but we can always accept requests from patients and staff on *800 or extension 3521, or if you know someone in hospital and would like to have a record played for them, call us on 01256 313521 or complete the form on the Music on Demand page.. HRB presents national and international news on the hour every hour of the day and night. We have also now launched our local news service which goes out 4 times a day during the week and 3 times a day at weekends. Daytime We provide a varied selection of programmes during the day on HRB. Wake up with our breakfast show from 6 which contains hospital and local information as well as news on the hour. Gordon Low has the popular Music Box every morning at 7.30 and the music continues non stop from 8. We have a selection of specialist music shows each morning at 10 ranging from music from the 50s or 40s to Your Song with a special guest choosing the music to the magazine programme for the blind and visually impaired "Soundings". In the afternoon, Harry Robinson is on the air Mon - Thurs with his own look at life as well as more great music and the Daily Drama. For our younger listeners, the G Floor Jukebox is on every afternoon at 3 and includes a short story. Evenings From 6, it's all about requests with Music on Demand playing listeners' favourite songs all the way through until 10. After 10, the music gets quiet and relaxing with James Pollard and Late Night HRB, plus music from the 40s and 50s in Sunny Side of the Street and then an hour of love songs at midnight. After 10 is also when you will hear our classical music show In The Drawing Room and also the award winning Elvis Uncharted.
