CLICK HERE TO HAVE A RECORD PLAYED FOR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IN HOSPITAL...

HRB provides programmes 24 hours a day for the patients and staff at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital.  The majority of our programmes are produced in-house and our most important shows are our live request shows every evening and during the day at weekends - Music on Demand.

We are also able to draw on other programme resources and we are pleased to include popular shows produced externally to the station to increase the variety of programming that we are able to offer our listeners.

HRB is a voluntary organisation, so some of our shows are not presented live and are subject to change, sometimes at short notice, but we can always accept requests from patients and staff on *800 or extension 3521, or if you know someone in hospital and would like to have a record played for them, call us on 01256 313521 or complete the form on the Music on Demand page..

HRB presents national and international news on the hour every hour.

Local news headlines are also presented every weekday evening and during the day at weekends.

Daytime

We provide a varied selection of programmes during the day on HRB.  These cater for a wide variety of musical tastes and some are produced outside of the station to allow us to broaden the range of our programmes.

Evenings

The evenings are all about requests with Music on Demand playing listeners' favourite songs all the way through until 10.  All of these shows are broadcast live or recorded very shortly in advance so that requests can still be played.

Weekends

Music on Demand continues into the weekend with the show for the Children's ward - The G Floor Jukebox - on air live every Saturday morning with plenty of requests and interaction.  We're usually live for most of the day on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Through the Night

We keep the music relaxed during the late night and overnight with quieter music from 11pm onwards.

Phone calls

Contact between HRB and its listeners is very important and we positively encourage listeners to get in touch via their bedside phones to request a song or take part in one of our competitions.  Please bare in mind that we may record phone calls or put calls on the air live.
