The Great Christmas Cracker Dash involves going round the wards pulling crackers with staff and patients, telling the jokes and then playing an instant request on the air.
It is fast moving but fun and has been running in some form since the 1990s.
For the 2025 event, there is a clear gap between the two teams, but in the time when they are on the wards at the same time, one will not get precedent over the other. The option is there though to record off air during a song.
There needs to be for this event one phone on each team that has Chrome and can use Cleanfeed with headphones. We will preferably NOT be using the phone for any links to the wards in 2025 unless the above method does not work in a particular location. The audio quality of Cleanfeed is far superior and there is absolutely no reason for not using it. If one person on each team has a phone that can use Google Chrome/Cleanfeed/earphones then the others on that team do not necessarily need that.
There will be an event plan sent out and instructions for what to do on the day sent out in advance. This event is part of a busy and fast paced live 5 – 6 hour show and THERE IS LITTLE IF ANY TIME FOR ANY TRAINING ON THE DAY. It is vital that everyone who takes part is prepared to read the event plan and respond to emails in advance.
