One of Basingstoke’s biggest events happens on Sunday 5 October – the Basingstoke Half Marathon and 10K. We have a long history of covering it going back to the very first year.
We need two teams one for the build up and start and one to talk to people when they have finished, hopefully including the winners.
All recording should be done using the digital recorders and hopefully we can get some of it on the air later in the day ahead of a highlights show later in the week.
You should prepare by looking at the event website to get to know what is happening and when and to make sure you know how to use the digital recorder.
Location – Crossborough Park, War Memorial Park, Basingstoke

Timings:
Race Village opens at 0745
Children’s Race starts at 0900am
Half Marathon Race starts at 1000am
10k & 5k Race starts at 1030am
First 10k/5k runners back approx. 1050 onwards
First Half Marathon runner back approx. 1115am
Park closes at 1500
