One of Basingstoke’s biggest events happens on Sunday 4 October – the Basingstoke Half Marathon and 10K/5k. We have a long history of covering it going back to the very first year.
Due to the number of people available and the fact it took 6 months for Destination Basingstoke to partially answer an email, we are planning to cover this event in the same way as last year. We need two teams walking around recording interviews using the digital recorders for later broadcasts.
The aim is to cover this event live next year.
TIMINGS
Half Marathon Start 10am
10k and 5k starts 1030am
The first half marathon runners should be finishing around 1100 – 1110
The first 5k finishers will be coming around 1045
The first 10k finishers will be coming in around 1055 – 1100
