TV presenter Clare Balding was at Basingstoke and North Hamoshire Hospital on 13 May to open the brand new Radiotherapy Unit.

The unit is the first stage of a much bigger centre that will open at a location to be decided in the future.  In the meantime, the new unit will treat about 40% of cases which are currently dealt with either in Guildford or Southampton.

Listeners to HRB got to hear the actual opening during local news bulletins later in the week.

After declaring the building open, Clare had a tour and posed for the obligatory photos.
