HRB is once again promising a packed Christmas of festive shows for this Christmas.

Christmas Crackers, special guests and lots of requests, are all part of HRB’s line-up for Christmas and New Year 2024.

The schedule starts on December 15th with fast moving festive fun in Neil Ogden’s Sound of Sunday Big Christmas Show.

There’ll be special guests, competitions and lots of Christmas crackers around the wards with The Great Christmas Cracker Dash.

The cracker pulling continues at Cherry Blossom Manor in Bramley and Bishopswood Court in Tadley.

There will be live request shows throughout the holiday period making sure that HRB continues to play the music our listeners around the wards and around Basingstoke want to hear.

As well as request shows, there are plenty of other programmes of interest.

Richard Smith will have festive editions of The A to Z of Pop and Call Me Number One plus a brand new show.

There’s special festive editions of many of our regular shows such as Vinyl Impressions, After Hours, The Sound of Country and The Retro Radio Show.

Neil Ogden will count down the most requested artists of 2024 and to close the year, HRB’s presenters will host the HRB New Year’s Eve Music Party.

The One and Only Chesney Hawkes will be on HRB on Christmas Day with his own show and then returns for a second show.

We tell the story of the Christmas single in a special series, plus we profile Darlene Love and Noddy Holder, two familiar sounds of Christmas and we’ll remember some of the guests who have featured on Live Wire over the last 12 months.

Keith Graham tells the story of disco, Vernon Pearce profiles The Music of more singers and songwriters and we look back at some of the events HRB has covered in 2024.
