It was the annual Alton Lions event in the Public Gardens in Alton on 14 June and HRB was there as usual.

The theme this year was pirates hence the title Pirates in the Park.  MC Dean Phillips was dressed as  Captain Jack Sparrow (no mean feat for the costume was very warm on one of the hottest days of the year) and he led visitors on a conga round the public gardens.

There was plenty of entertainment in the band stand including regulars Tripwire who were as popular as ever with the large number of people enjoying the sunshine.
