HRB is the official radio station of the 2025 Basingstoke Festival and was out in force on Friday 20 June to cover the opening parade.

The sun was shining as the Basingstoke Silver Band led a colourful parade from Cross Street to the Amphitheatre to launch the 3 week Basingstoke Festival which this year has a theme of sustainability.

After the parade reached the Amphitheatre, the Basingstoke Silver Band performed and then the large crowd was treated to the world premiere of Up In The Sky, a spectacular show of aerial acrobatics and dancing.

The 3 week festival continues until 6 July with plenty of coverage throughout all of HRB’s shows.
