HRB opened its doors for an open day on 7 June to show off what the station does and try and recruit some new volunteers.
The day was held as part of Volunteers Week which was celebrating its 40th anniversary.
The day started at 11am and residents of Rowan Lodge and Oak Lodge were among the first visitors. They enjoyed sitting outside listening to their favourite songs that they had chosen.
More visitors arrived later in the day and there were potential volunteers too. Among the visitors was Mayor of Basingstoke Dan Putty who spent an hour talking to visitors and looking round the studios.
During the day there were two prize draws for those who had requests and those who visited the station. Ashlea from Rowan Lodge won a £25 Marks and Spencer gift card and Graham who works on C2 at the hospital won himself a £40 Amazon gift card. Both winners were chosen by A to Z of Pop presenter Richard Smith.
Everyone who visited and listened seems to enjoy themselves and enjoyed seeing how the station works.
