HRB has launched its Coronation weekend schedule with a variety of special shows including live coverage of the Coronation service itself.
Everything starts on Friday morning when the Coronation gets the A to Z treatment with a special show presented by Richard Smith.
On Friday afternoon, Margot Konitzer will look ahead to some of the Coronation related events in and around Basingstoke over the weekend.
Vernon Pearce presents two Coronation themed editions of Topic Tunes, the first of which is on Friday afternoon, and later on Friday, Neil Ogden presents a special edition of Memory Makers, with songs that were high in the charts at the time of various significant events in the life of King Charles III.
On Saturday morning, Edward Breslin and Martin Kelner will be presenting live from London with coverage of the Coronation service itself plus the procession that will follow.
There’s another chance to hear the special show that King Charles recorded for hospital radio 2 years ago as The Prince of Wales when he played his favourite music.
On Sunday, there’s the first of two editions of Residents’ Requests as Neil Ogden visits the residents at Cherry Blossom Manor in Bramley.
On Bank Holiday Monday, Scott Rawlings will be hosting a special Coronation event in Oakley and there’s a second Residents’ Requests, this time with those at Magnolia Court in Popley remembering their Coronation memories.
