Once again HRB will be part of hte Basingstoke Lions Swimathon.

The 31st Basingstoke Lions Swimathon is taking place at the Basingstoke Sports Centre in Festival Place on Saturday 1 March and HRB is once again entering a team to raise funds for both HRB and Lions supported charities.

New members Cameron Grant and Rebecca Clark will be joining Neil Ogden and former member Sarah Beattie for the popular event which involves swimming as many laps as possible in 30 minites in a relay as a team.  1 lap is 2 lengths of the 25 metre pool.

Previous HRB teams have typically swum between 25 and 30 laps so the target this year is to do more than 30.

The Swimathon is just one of a number of Basingstoke Lions events throughout the year which allow those taking part to raise money for other charities as well as the many good causes supported by the Lions.  Last year over £1000 was raised.  Swimmers of al abilities take part in both teams and as individuals.
