Amongst the opening weekend events at the Basingstoke Festival was Timeless, performed by Joli Vyann.
The show used a giant hour glass along with a mixture of dance, theatre and circus. It was described as the story of civilisation as we know it and its fragile relationship with time and nature.
The four performers danced, leaped, gracefully balanced and threw themselves with acrobatic prowess around, on and inside the rotating hourglass, in a poignantly sensitive representation of the ambiguous nature of time and the threat of irreversibility in relation to climate change.
