Christmas Crackers, Requests, Christmas pantos, competitions, special guests and the return of The New Year’s Eve BIG Broadcast are all part of HRB’s line-up for Christmas and New Year 2017.
The schedule starts on December 10th with 5 hours of fast moving festive fun in Neil Ogden’s Sound of Sunday Big Christmas Show. This year’s special guests include former Blue Peter presenter Mark Curry.
There will be live request shows throughout the holiday period, including Christmas Day and Boxing Day, making sure that HRB continues to play the music our listeners want to hear.
As well as request shows, there are plenty of other programmes of interest. The surviving members of Led Zeppelin talk about the new music they have been making. Iain Smith tells the Bobby Darin story and Keith Graham tells the story of disco.
There’s another chance to hear the crowdfunded podcast made by Saturday morning TV’s Trev and Simon, extracts from Sarah Stephenson’s book Diougal’s Diary are read by the author herself and there’s another chance to hear the two-part Matt Monro special where his daughter Michelle plays some of his favourite music.
Neil Ogden will count down the most requested artists of 2017 and Richard Smith and his team return with 24 hours of fun and entertainment from mid-day on New Year’s Eve.
