Queen have been named as the most requested artist or group of 2020.
The chart was announced on air with the number one confirmed just before 4pm on 28 December. They replace Elvis Presley who topped the chart last year.
The chart was compiled from requests played on HRB from 1 January – 5 December 2020. The chart that includes December will be published early in the new year.
Presenter Neil Ogden, who also compiles the chart, said that although the number of requests has been much lower this year due to not being able to visit the wards, there were still nearly 2500 and the mix of music requested was as great as ever.
