The Magna Carta Festival, to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta and Odiham's part in it, continued on 24 May with a day of events celebrating the Basingstoke Canal. 

Mel Montagnon started off the live outside broadcast talking to some of those at the Canal Boat Festival, and then Paul Le Feuvre along with Mel jumped aboard the John Pinkerton for a ride from The Wharf to Odiham Castle where many more events were going on.

It was one of the most ambitious outside broadcasts HRB has attempted for a whil, and although not everything went totally to plan, it provided an entertaineing two and a half hours of live radio!
