Series 28 of The Sound of Sunday comes to an end this weekend with an extended edition on Sunday from 1.30 until 5.
There’ll be all the regular features, plus we will meet Hampshire Hospitals’ Young Persons Governor, who will tell us about what she does and how you could get involved as a governor of the trust.
We’ll also chat to John who was a patient a few weeks ago and who has some stories to tell about being drummer to the likes of Matt Monro, Shirley Bassey and Bobby Darin – and you can hear how he made the Queen laugh too.
And we’ll close the show with something we’ve been threatening to do for 2 years – a whole half hour of earworm tunes marking the end of the Earworm of the Week feature.
Next week it’s the Sound of Sunday Summer Special, recorded at last month’s Alton Lions Party in the Park and then the show returns on 25th August.
It’s been a series that has included our celebration of 60 years of Blue Peter, another successful Christmas Show, children’s TV legend Johnny Ball and the return of the weekly prize draw and most importantly over 400 requests.
