HRB has won an award at the National Hospital Radio Awards 2022.
The station was nominated in two categories at the event, which celebrates the work done by thousands of volunteers every day at hospitals around the UK.
A promo for Neil Ogden’s Sound of Sunday was nominated in the Best Station Promotion category and Neil was also nominated in the Best Male Presenter category and it was that category that produced the bronze award win with the judges comment that Neil is “likeable, personable and a radio natural with a sense of fun who talks with his patients and clearly includes them in everything he does”
HRB also congratulates Paul Blitz who as well as being a long serving volunteer at Winchester Radio, is also an honorary member of HRB following his invaluable engineering help he gave the station in 2001. Paul won the John Witney Award for Outstanding Contribution to Hospital Radio.
